§ 153.24. PEDESTRIAN WAYS.

  • (A) Right-of-way for pedestrian crosswalks in the middle of blocks exceeding 1,000 feet in length may be required where necessary, to obtain convenient pedestrian circulation to schools, parks, commercial centers, and the like. This crosswalk right-of-way shall be at least ten feet wide and shall extend completely across the block.
    (B) The walkway surface shall be seven feet in width and may be constructed of bituminous on concrete to meet city specifications. A four-foot fence shall be erected along the right-of-way lines.
